Benecosanol™
Cyvex Nutrition has introduced Beneco­sanol™, a 95% policosanol manufactured in the U.S. from rice bran wax. Cyvex is currently offering two forms of Benecosanol, a 50% and a 30% octacosanol—the active ingredient in policosanol. Studies show that policosanol works by inhibiting the liver’s production of cholesterol, leading to lower production of low density lipoprotein (LDL) and greater production of high density lipoprotein (HDL). Further, policosanol inhibits abnormal platelet aggregation, reduces complications in people with coronary heart disease and increases endurance during exercise.
